Cornwall
When you remember your family holiday for 2013 you want to remember the good times – not the dreaded check-in queue, so staying in the UK is an excellent option! Cornwall, in the Southwest is a fabulous location to choose. It has miles of stunning beaches, great surf, Art galleries galore and plenty of other attractions to keep the children entertained, from Theme parks, to camel farms, to the Eden Project. We know you won’t be bored in Cornwall and that’s what keeps many families coming back year, after year, after year. For a really practical and brilliant family location check out Polzeath holidays and if you are looking to make your trip that extra bit more luxurious check out some of Latitude 50 luxury cottages in Cornwall too.
Greek Islands
With over a hundred different islands to choose from and a very child friendly culture, Greece makes for an excellent family holiday destination. By strong reputation, the islands of Crete, Corfu and Cos are all especially good for families. Greece is around a 3.5 hr flight from the UK; so do bear this in mind if you have very small children. Temperatures can also easily average around 30ºC so this is better for bigger kids. But if you are up for it, you’ll fins lovely beaches, family activities galore and many great restaurants that will welcome you all, whilst providing some truly delicious cuisine.
Turkey
Turkey is dubbed to be a big hit on this years holiday favourites list. It is particularly good for families as it offers great value and lots of child friendly spots to hang out.
We love the Aegean Coast and some of the gorgeous luxury villas you can find there. If you get one with a pool you and the family can relax in peace and privacy and truly unwind on holiday. We recommend taking a cruise and trying some of the delicious local foods.
West Coast of France
The Vendée region, on France’s west coast, is a somewhat undiscovered region that offers plenty of stunning beaches, great cuisine and a whole range of other things to keep the family busy. There are museums, castles and heritage sites that will capture the imaginations of all ages. We’ve found some tasteful holiday complexes in the Vendée and some lovely holiday cottages available for rent too, so take a look online if you think your family would enjoy a break in France.
South Africa
If you fancy travelling a little further a field this summer then we don’t think it gets any better than a break to South Africa. Now is a great time to grab a bargain as many companies are offering great rates on accommodation and all of the desirable activities, such as safaris. This is one to pick if you want to create a truly memorable holiday for your family this summer, which will give memories to last a lifetime.
