Travelers can be divided into several categories and subcategories. One has it that there are travelers who take their entire vacations set by the state in order to explore a particular country or even a city, and there are travelers who kind of drop by to see what there is and thus, manage to discover only the surface without delving into the culture.
And there is also a third group of travelers who have great wish to spend much time in a foreign country, know as much as possible about it, however they cannot afford mainly because of lack of time.
Traveling is great even if it’s for only two or three days. What you need to do is make a wise planning and in this case if your choice is the Portuguese capital, then here is what to do spend a wonderful time there and not to regret ever after.
In general, there is one “characteristic feature” that is often attached to Lisbon. Many people claim it’s one of the cheapest European capitals and cities. And this provides an excellent opportunity for all Lisbon tourists to enjoy to the full without having to spend that much. There are, of course, luxurious hotels and high class-restaurants which might cost you an arm and a leg but still if you are a budget traveler or a person who by nature prefers to get everything at low prices, then Lisbon grants you that possibility. Now let’s see what you should do during those few days you have.
Tagus River – Tagus River is one of the most amazing parts of Lisbon, which is very often missed by many Lisbon tourists. Tagus gives a unique and special charm to the city making it appear lively and dynamic at every single moment. A piece of advice is to take a boat tour to Cacilhas. The tour usually takes more or less twenty minutes and you will be expected to pay around EUR 3.20 Another thing not to miss is to watch the sunset on the 25th of April Bridge. It’s simply amazing.
Vasco da Gama Bridge – If you are not traveling alone, but with your beloved one, then you cannot find a better romantic place for two than Vasco da Gama Bridge. The bridge promises splendid views. It’s the longest bridge in Europe named after world-known Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama. It’s 17.2 kilometers long. The construction of this wonderful bridge cost as much as USD 1.1bln. It should be noted that other than visiting this bridge you can also go to Vasco da Gama Shopping Center and Vasco da Gama Aquarium. If you are traveling with your family we would recommend the second one by all means.
