Spring is a period of revival Lisbon. Not only the flowers and trees and the entire nature blossoms but also the mood, the smiles and sparkle in the eyes. But spring is not on the doorstep, it’s already here and Lisbon is enjoying every spring fruit today.
Festivals in Lisbon are full of liveliness and they greatly vary. One of the main ones is the Chocolate Festival, which is absolutely amazing with delicious chocolates of various tastes and types. Notably this festival has already completed but those wishing to be part of it can visit Obidos where the festival is already underway and will last until April 6.
March is already about to end and the second of the lively spring months starts with one of the nicest festivals – Peixe em Lisboa. It’s food festival that takes place in Pátio da Galé. A brief introduction of the Pátio da Galé would be it is located in Terreiro do Paco and has become quite popular with local people and Lisbon tourists since various events and exhibitions are held there. Also, there are restaurants so visitors can also take advantage of the Portuguese cuisine. Okay, back to our subject of interest.
Peixe em Lisboa will start on April 3 and will last until April 13. The festival opening will start at 6 pm on April 13 and will last until 12 am. On the rest of the days the festival can be attended from 12 pm to 12 am. The entrance is not free. You will need to buy a ticket at 15 Euros. The ticket is not valid for the entire festival but per day. The ticket includes food tasting, a drink and a tasting glass. The purchased ticket will also grant access to various cooking classes, show cooking, wine tasting and so on.
Special conditions apply to children. Children under 16 should be accompanied with their parents, and children 12 and under 12 can have free entry to the festival. Also, they are not allowed to have any alcoholic drinks.
The ticket can be purchased online until March 31. But there is one con and it refers to the language of the page. The online purchase can be processed only in Portuguese language so maybe it’s better to get the tickets right on the spot to avoid problems.
