On 17 July 1955, the first Disneyland was opened in the U.S. It is visited by 13.3 million people annually. Everyone can find something interesting for him in this miraculous land. The youngest children go there to communicate with their favorite cartoon characters, adolescents enjoy underwater or space voyages, and adults go there to remember their childhood.
Disneyland has occupied the leading place among the amusement parks and does not seem to leave it ever. And it’s not because of the number of new products or services. Disneyland offers its visitors not just an opportunity to spend some time having fun, but immerses them into a different world, another reality and another time — maybe that’s the reason everyone loves it so much.
Disneyland in Paris
If you live in Europe and want to find out what the Disneyland planet is, there’s no need to fly to America, since the Disneyland in Paris is the exact copy of its older American brother. And this copy is not small at all. Apart from the mandatory “Disneyland park” and “Walt Disney Studios Park” it has seven hotels, tennis courts, fields, golf courses and even a soccer school for children.
You should not miss the “European” and “Disney” villages — wonderful entertainment complexes. Opened in 1992, the park is located 32 miles from the capital city — not a long distance for Europe. The Frontier land part takes us to America, cowboys and Indians, Wild West and the banks of the well-known Mississippi river. The Fantasy land offers to visit the Castle of the Sleeping Beauty and Snow White. The Adventure land is designed for those who love adventures; here you can arrange a meeting with Robinson Crusoe. The Discovery land is the spot for the pioneers, lovers of time machines, space travel and deep-sea research.
There are also Park studios and stands of Walt Disney, where you can learn and see the movies and cartoons are made. Of course, you also see shops, restaurants and theaters everywhere in Disneyland. The entrance fee is 46 Euro for adults, and 38 Euro for children. Maybe that’s the reason everyone loves it so much and Disney travel agencies are busier than ever before
Disneyland in Hong Kong
China continues to bet all records in number, attendance and hours of queuing. The glory of Disneyland in Hong Kong now roars. People even go to court, demanding to compensate for losses from the inability to use the purchased tickets because of the queues. It troubles the Chinese, but the corporation “Walt Disney” just rubs its hands, watching as their Asian projects beat all records, including financial.
The Disneyland park in Hong Kong is built in an amazing manner — with the use of the landscape features and, of course, the ubiquitous Feng Shui. There are only “lucky” numbers everywhere in this Disneyland, and discovering those will give you a chance for having a “happy” day.
All the major parks and zones are similar to their American counterparts, well, except for the fact that they often communicate in Cantonese, not in English. It’s quite logical, since the Chinese prefer to listen to their native speech, and not to a foreign language.
Disneyland in Tokyo
Japanese Disneyland is considered the most beautiful Disneyland in the world. It is a little bigger than its American “relative,” and therefore more comfortable in terms of queues and tickets, which, by the way, cost $50.
First you can just drive around the whole city of entertainment and then decide what you want to do there. I guess there will be a lot of stuff that you would like to do. The list will include staying in a hotel, looking at the ocean, visiting the souvenir shops, visiting the residence of McDuck, dine in the restaurant-ship of Columbia, descend into an active volcano, and much more.
You can also have a visit to Captain Nemo. There you will be told a list of horror stories, if you, of course, can speak Japanese. As for the Japanese themselves, you cannot find any better service in the world, well except for the Royal Dutch airlines. They are ready to help you, even if you are asking for something stupid or hard. And if you’re really interested in something, they will walk with you for hours, if only you were happy. The Japanese have it in their blood.
