For a large number of us, great holiday deals are seen in the window of a travel agent or online. Whilst many of these offers provide extremely good value, there are plenty of small, often ignored extras that make up the costs and these extras soon add up to really dent your wallet.
Currently through a popular travel agent you can book an all inclusive holiday in Spain for a week in May for a little over four and fifty hundred pounds. This is for two people sharing a room and includes flights, transfers, accommodation and food. This three star hotel offer is exceptionally good value with the hotel placed in the Costa Brava area popular with British tourists. Great many of you would think on seeing this advertised and scurry off to check the hotel reviews but flights are from a London airport and although included in the rate, parking at heathrow is not. For those who turn up at the official long stay rates are seventeen pounds per day, for eights days parking this amounts to one hundred and thirty six pounds, ouch. Then there is car hire, an additional one hundred and fifty pounds at least and to add to this further the all important travel insurance policy.
By pre-booking these all important travel extras online you can often save a huge amount. There are several online car hire agencies offering a rental vehicle in Spain from as little as nine pounds per day and airport parking at Heathrow can be purchased from as little as five pounds per day when pre-booking far enough in advance.
We are not suggesting you avoid the great value travel deals offered online and in local agents in the run-up to summer, simply that by thinking ahead you can save on all those little extras.
